Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 12, 2026
1. Introduction
Maxint Inc. ("us", "we", or "our") operates https://maxint.com, desktop applications, and the Maxint mobile application (collectively, the "Service").
We believe your financial data belongs exclusively to you. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, safeguard, and process information that results from your use of our Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect several categories of information to provide, secure, and improve our financial operating system:
A. Account and Profile Information
When you create an account or configure your organization profile, we collect your name, email address, organization type, business category, and notification preferences.
B. Financial Ledger and Banking Data
To provide bookkeeping, charting, and transaction tracking, we process account balances, transaction history, merchant details, chart of accounts, and invoice data. Banking connections are established through authorized financial aggregation partners (such as Plaid and GoCardless). Maxint never accesses or stores your raw online banking login credentials.
C. Document, Receipt, and Statement Uploads
When you utilize document processing and Accounts Payable automation, we process uploaded receipt images, vendor invoices, and PDF bank or brokerage statements to perform optical character recognition (OCR), text extraction, and server-side statement parsing.
D. Audio and Voice Interactions
When you enable voice features with Finsight, your microphone audio is processed for speech-to-text recognition. Voice audio is converted transiently to text commands to fulfill your immediate query and is not stored or repurposed for profiling or advertising.
E. Passkey and Biometric Authentication Data
When you authenticate via Passkeys (FIDO2 / WebAuthn), your biometric information (such as Apple Touch ID, Face ID, or Windows Hello) is processed and stored strictly within the secure hardware enclave of your local device. Maxint only receives and stores the cryptographic public key and credential identifier necessary to verify your identity. Your private keys and raw biometric data never leave your device.
F. Device, Widget, and Usage Data
We collect diagnostic metrics including device type, operating system version, and application performance. On mobile devices, localized balance data may be synced to your home screen widgets through an encrypted on-device shared application container.
3. Artificial Intelligence and Finsight Privacy Guarantees
Maxint integrates advanced artificial intelligence to deliver financial summaries, automated categorization, and interactive forecasting. We uphold strict enterprise-grade privacy principles regarding AI:
- Zero Model Training on Customer Financial Records: We guarantee that your private financial data, general ledger entries, uploaded receipts, invoices, and Finsight conversation transcripts are never used to train, fine-tune, or improve public foundational artificial intelligence models.
- Enterprise Model Providers: When querying hosted models (such as Google Cloud Gemini or Anthropic Claude), data is processed through dedicated enterprise endpoints bound by strict confidentiality and zero-data-retention agreements.
- Custom LLM Endpoints: If you configure custom third-party language model providers using your own API credentials, requests are routed directly according to your custom configuration, subject to the privacy terms of your chosen provider.
4. How We Use Collected Data
Maxint uses your data strictly for the following purposes:
- To maintain your financial ledger, charts of accounts, and real-time balance calculations.
- To generate automated financial statements, tax estimates, and invoice drafts.
- To process payments, manage subscriptions, and monitor usage limits.
- To execute user-authorized automation rules and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.
- To detect, prevent, and remediate technical bugs and fraudulent security events.
5. Third-Party Data Processors
We engage trusted service providers who perform specific functions on our behalf under strict data protection terms:
- Financial Aggregation: Plaid (for read-only bank feeds) and GoCardless (for direct debit and payment reconciliation).
- Payment Gateways: Authorized payment processors for managing subscription billing and consumable quotas.
- Cloud and Hosting Infrastructure: Cloudflare and SOC 2 certified cloud data centers.
- AI Infrastructure: Enterprise cloud model providers operating under zero-retention data processing agreements.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your financial records only for as long as your account remains active or as required by statutory accounting, tax, and legal compliance obligations.
You maintain complete ownership of your data. You may export your entire transaction history, chart of accounts, and invoice records at any time. If you choose to close your account, you can request permanent deletion of your data by contacting us at support@maxint.com.
7. Security of Data
We protect your information using bank-grade cryptographic protocols, including TLS 1.3 in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest. Access controls are reinforced by mandatory multi-factor authentication, biometric passkeys, and continuous security auditing.
8. Your Rights Under GDPR, CCPA, and Global Privacy Laws
Depending on your location, you may have statutory rights regarding your personal information, including:
- The right to access and receive a portable copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- The right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete records.
- The right to request erasure ("right to be forgotten") of your personal information.
